thomson.jpgJoseph John ThomsonJoseph John Thomson was born in Cheetham Hill, England on December 18, 1856. Thomson went to Ownes College, Manchester in 1870. In 1876 Thomson went to Trinity College and was a minor scholar. In 1890 Thomson married Rose Elisabeth and had two kids. Thomson recieved the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1906. He later died in Cambridge on August 30, 1940.
